Communication is the basis of human nature. 

We learned at UOP that communication is the basis of rational/conscious thought. 

Seriously -- you couldn't think of a "mountain" unless someone taught you the word "mountain."  Even if you were standing in front of a mountain, looking at it, you would see a big thing but you wouldn't know anything about unless you communicated with other people about it. 

Even to think thoughts to yourself inside your own mind, you need words.  Communication is the basis of human nature.
